Key West and Marathon Airports after Hurricane Irma

Oct. 14, 2017

We have regular air charter service to the Florida Keys from Marathon and Key West Airports.

In Marathon, the General Aviation Center and Jet Center, were both flooded and currently are operating from the airline terminal.  The Key West private air terminal (FBO), operated by Signature Flight Support, is operating normally.  Unlike Marathon, however, Key West sustained minimal damage and will be ready for the upcoming tourist season beginning at the end of October.

At North Key Largo’s Ocean Reef Club,  the airport is also operating normally.  The Ocean Reef community had minimal structural damage but much of it’s lush trees and foliage were knocked down.  Back in 1992 the Ocean Reef Club took a direct hit from Hurricane Andrew and was severely damage.  The developer at the time, didn’t have the cash available for repairs and sold the community to it’s members - who have been running the Ocean Reef Club ever since.  The “Reef”, as its called, is a beautiful community that’s available to members and guests alike.  Contact "The Inn" for inquiries.
