What is the most you'll pay (in U.S. dollars) for your private
jet leg flight?
Keep in mind that flying in a private jet is not budget air
travel. You should look for value since you'll likely be
flying in a multimillion dollar private jet that you'll have to
yourself. You must enter the maximum amount you're willing to
pay. When a flight becomes available, we will send you a
notification only if the flight is equal to or less than the amount
you enter.
Since buying a private jet
empty leg will be considerably less (almost half the cost of a
regular charter flight), you should be willing to pay an amount at
least equal to the hourly rate of the private jet empty leg divided by the
number of passengers traveling.
Say for example you receive an E-mail notification that a Learjet
45 is leaving empty from the New York area's Teterboro airport to
Chicago. This flight is exactly what you're looking for - a
one way flight to Chicago. And your excited about the
possibility of going with your four associates in a private charter
jet.
The flight time to Chicago is two hours and the hourly rate on
the Learjet 45 is $2500/hr. The cost for the private jet
leg is, therefore, $5000. If you were the originating jet
charter customer, you would have had to pay for the flight hours to
Chicago and the flight back to base for the private jet. The
cost:
$10,000. By accepting the private jet empty leg, you saved
$5000 off the regular price. In this example, the per
passenger cost for you and your associates is $1000.
The amount you are willing to pay should at least be equal to a first class one way
airline fare for the destination listed.
You are not obligated to purchase any private jet empty leg. Once you receive notification, you can make an offer for
any amount above or below the quoted price depending on your
needs. You will then be notified if your offer was accepted or
declined.
