What's a Private Jet Leg?
A Private Jet Leg (also known as an Empty Leg) is simply a flight in a private jet that isn't
carrying passengers. Usually, a private charter jet has
dropped off passengers and is returning home to base
"empty".
The originating jet charter customer or private jet owner has already
paid for the whole flight (including the empty private jet leg portion). If
someone can be found to purchase the empty private jet leg of the trip,
everybody saves money and more people can enjoy flying in a private
jet.
The trick, though, is to match a private jet leg with a buyer.
There are thousands of private jet legs flown empty in private jet charter
airplanes every year, all over the U.S. and the world.
